BCLC has a vision for community transformation. This includes seeing people free from every addiction. We have had some success recently in seeing small numbers of people finding freedom from drugs and alcohol. This has been through close mentorship, befriending, working through some of the underlying issues in people’s lives, supporting them through the housing and benefit system and providing volunteer opportunities during the day. Our long term goal is to have our own sustainable homeless and/or rehab hostel linked to a working environment. We are happy to be part of the South Wales Christian Drug Network so that whatever presents itself in the present or we plan in the future, there is a network of people we can work with and seek advice from. We do provide drug and alcohol awareness training from time to time as well as counseling for those with personality disorders. We try to provide an holistic approach to people’s recovery.
